These are all traits you should be looking for in a great wedding planner… but what if we also added to our list of traits: trusting, a creative visionary, incredibly organized, genuine personality, luxurious style, and just an overall awesome human being? You would end up with a pretty fantastic wedding planner. Good news is that this person exists! Let me introduce you to Brianna Gordon, the owner and founder of one of Colorado’s newest and most promising luxury wedding planning services: KAE Design Co.
I first met Bri a few years back via a mutual vendor friend, and we hit it off right away. I knew this was someone I wanted to continue working with! It’s been so fun to watch her business grow, while she tackles the event world with a refreshingly modern and glamorous flair. Her business primarily operates within Colorado, however she is excited to be expanding to events held in other locations (such as destination location Jackson Hole!)
She was willing to take some time out of her busy schedule to sit down (over zoom and some coffee) to answer a few questions, and I’m excited to bring you all:
“We are a combination service! We offer full service event planning, design and production. This means we cover everything from planning, coordinating to florals and more!”
“For us, we prefer to create our own trends! Right now we are focussing on color theory and how it translates over to each element of our events. We also custom build sets and backdrops, so exploring with different shapes and materials is something we are looking forward to!”
“Planners offer structure to your event. A good planner looks at each element of your event from multiple angles and works to create a stress free environment for all participants. They are also vendor focusses, ensuring that your vendors have everything they need to create the clients dream day. They can sometimes save you money, but ultimately they increase your joy throughout the experience.”
“We have started becoming much more selective about who we work with and have actually paired down our favorite choices. We are excited to be adding Amangiri and Amangani to our list of preferred locations this year!”
“You get what you pay for! Pick a venue that already matches your ideal style and guest count. Venue makeovers are costly! Ask your planner if they like working with certain venues/vendors. Some look good but end up being a pain to work with. We will match you with the right fits from the start.”
“Enjoy it!! Don’t rush into all of the to-dos just yet. Invest in a quality photographer right out of the gates who does both engagement and wedding photography. Photos are great for Save the Dates! Talk about budget. Hire your planner!”
“1- I met Shaggy while having lunch at a locals favorite restaurant in Jamaica
2- I have been in a commercial
3- fresh baked cookies are my number 1 kryptonite”
“Follow this link for my website, and the best way to contact me is via email! brianna@kaedesignco.com”
Thank you Brianna for taking the time to answer some questions!
