Big Cork Vineyard has called this spot home since 2010, when owner and winemaker Dave Collins realized the potential of the land’s soil. With 25 years of winemaking experience in Virginia, he knew this Maryland terrain would be the perfect spot for his true passion project.
Years later, Big Cork Vineyard is known for its delicious estate-grown wines like a bubbly Blanc de Blanc, crisp rosé, and voluptuous Petit Verdot, among others. Details of the Grounds
Big Cork Vineyard is home to over 100 acres of beautiful farmland, with many of those acres dedicated to vines. The property, tasting room, and beautiful production facilities make it an incredible venue for wine enthusiasts or anyone who can just appreciate a gorgeous view.
Begin your day by getting ready in their private bridal suite. Complete with a private bathroom (with a stand-alone soaker tub if anyone gets really stressed), plus plenty of room for hair and makeup prep, it’s a great place to begin your wedding day. Plus, there is some beautiful natural light that is ideal for traditional getting-ready photos.
Many couples host their ceremony outdoors, standing before gorgeous green vines. There’s a beautiful wooden arbor that can be adorned with your signature florals or drapery in shades of your chosen color palette. However, you won’t need much decor with the surrounding views of the vineyards and rolling mountains. Up to 200 guests can join you outdoors.
Indoors, more intimate weddings can enjoy a reception in their tasting room, adorned with wooden barrels and production tanks that blend rustic with industrial. It’s perfect for setting up long reception tables decorated beneath incredible white chandeliers made of twisting branches. Don’t forget about cocktail hour outside on the patio, either!

We can meander the rows of beautiful vines, gorgeous in every season, for stunning outdoor portraits. Inside, the tasting room’s barrels and tanks make eye-catching backgrounds unique to this venue. Wedding Details
You may want to keep a few details in mind if you’re considering hosting your wedding at Big Cork Vineyard. First, they work with five exclusive caterers from which you can choose. They offer various price points and menus that will suit every palate and budget, so don’t fret about your first meal as a married couple being anything other than delicious! They can also offer beer, spirits, and Big Cork Vineyard wines.
Additionally, you’ll need to enlist the help of a professional day-of coordinator for your wedding. They’ll have two staff members onsite to handle building logistics. Still, your coordinator will need to be in charge of ensuring your event runs smoothly (and you’ll thank them for it later!)
