About The Tranquility Farm Wedding Venue
The farm today known as Tranquility Farm once spanned over 600 acres, owned by prominent Quaker land developer (and slavery denouncer) David Lovett. In the years since, it’s been home to the Piedmont Fox Hounds, the oldest fox hunting club in the country, where Jackie Kennedy Onaissis used to visit. Today, the farm has 23 acres preserved by a conservation easement, ensuring it stays calm and quiet for a long time.
Tranquility Farm has several buildings with beautiful accommodations, perfect for onsite stays for your wedding weekend. Additionally, their sister property, Otium Cellars, is just down the road, across a quiet gravel street. Stop by to visit their picturesque vineyards and enjoy a glass of delicious wine.
Details of the Grounds
Tranquility Farm wedding is perfect for an event with up to 120 guests. However, you could potentially host a larger guest list with the addition of a tent.
Their beautiful Dressing Suites reside in the Manor House and Vineyard Cottage and are absolutely gorgeous. However, unless you’ve chosen the Farmland Package, they are considered add-ons for your wedding day. But trust me. They’re worth it. With beautiful, bright colors, natural light, and elegant furnishings, it’s a beautiful place to get ready on your wedding day. Plus, the space makes for some ridiculously gorgeous getting-ready photos.
You get to choose whichever site speaks to you the most for your ceremony. Frame your vows with the backdrop of the property’s beautiful silo or overlooking the rolling meadows and farmland. When you visit for a tour, you’ll get to see just how many options are at your fingertips so you can choose the one that speaks best to your heart.
Cocktail hours occur in the open-air terrace and courtyard beneath a greenery trellis. Then, proceed to one of two locations for your reception. Your first option is the Antique Barn, which is fully air-conditioned and heated. The space is made almost entirely of warm, rustic wood. It features amenities like dimmable tiered chandeliers and access to a fire pit outside.
Your second option is the Silo and Tent location, where you can prop a tent onto a large cement pad. While this space is completely customizable aesthetically, you’ll also need to consider the added costs.

The rolling farmlands, vineyards, and open sky of Tranquility Farm make beautiful photo backdrops wherever you look. When you host a wedding at Tranquility Farm, you’ll have exclusive access to the property, meaning your wedding will be the only wedding that day. While they include plenty of perks and amenities in their wedding packages, you can’t go wrong with the Farmland Package, which gives you full access to almost every building onsite. This 48-hour rental includes accommodations for up to 16 people, perfect for close family or wedding party members to enjoy.
