Whether you are looking for a ceremony in indoor or outdoor spaces or on a terrace, the possibilities are truly endless for you. Above all, the venue offers unparalleled spaces that are perfect for hosting your ceremony, reception, intimate elopements, and large gatherings.

Firstly, the ambient lighting sets the atmosphere for every portion of your day, from the ceremony to the reception. Secondly, the Botanical Gardens York St location also features world-class sculptures, a solarium, stunning architecture, and even an amphitheater that can accommodate up to 1300 guests for massive celebrations. Thirdly, another thing I love about the Denver Botanic Gardens is their ability to beautifully accommodate so many aesthetic styles in the garden – classic, elegant, romantic, quirky… the list goes on! Finally, some of my favorite things you can expect as you plan your wedding in the Denver Botanical Gardens are – romantic patios, water with aquatic plants, secret gardens, art sculptures, and gazebos.   • Romantic Gardens: A european inspired rose garden with classic architecture and charm.
    • Seated Ceremony Only: 250 Guests
  • Annuals Garden and Pavilion: This space has a water feature and a covered structure. It also has plentiful American based annual flowers.
    • Seated Ceremony: 200 Guests
    • Seated Reception: 120 Guests
  • Woodland Mosaic and Solarium: A stunning solarium that gives off “secret garden” vibes. In addition the space features retaining wall gardens, trees, flowers, lounge area and patio.
    • Seated Ceremony: 50 Guests
    • Seated Reception: 40-60 Guests
  • South African Plaza: A secluded pergola, babbling brook, and a variety of potted plants.
    • Seated Ceremony: 80 Guests
    • Seated Reception: 60 Guests
  • Water Garden Gazebo: The space for water lovers! This gazebo is surrounded by the Monet Pool, which is adorned with aquatic plants. It is also adjacent to Le Potager garden.
    • Seated Ceremony: 30 Guests
    • Seated Reception: 20 Guests
  • West Terrace: The West Terrace overlooks the Monet Pool and Japanese Garden, as well as featuring large, potted florals. Because of these features, this could be the magical tented wedding of your dreams!

  • UMB Bank Amphitheater Tent: Looking out over the Steppe Garden, this is the Garden’s largest space! Furthermore, there is a clear sided tent with twinkle lights.
    • Seated Ceremony: 1200 Guests
    • Seated Reception: 600 Guests
  • Orangery: A unique reception area, the Orangery features glass windows, glass garage doors, a rotating seasonal display and also looks out onto Shady Lane.
    • Seated Reception: 100-150 Guests
  • Mitchell Hall: This hall features a dome ceiling, optional skylight, and plenty of space for dancing and fun! It also has a stage, projection screen, patio and overlooks the Sensory Garden.
    • Seated Ceremony: 330 Guests
    • Seated Reception: 300 Guests
  • Marnie’s Pavilion: An indoor space with a tropical garden, exotic orchids, windows and a large balcony.
    • Seated Reception: 80 – 120 Guests
  • Gates Hall: A cozy space with large and intricate wooden doors and vast windows. Also, AV and a projection screen are available for use.
    • Seated Ceremony: 90 Guests
    • Seated Reception: 90 Guests
  • Welcome Garden: Available as an addition to your wedding day. This Garden features large colorful pots, beautiful water features, in addition to a secret path that leads to the Romantic Gardens. Moreover, this space is perfect for a welcome hour or a cocktail hour!
    • Standing Reception Only: 175 Guests

Denver Botanic Gardens Wedding – Chatfield Farms

Looking for a little more space to roam, a slightly more rustic feel, or a location set a bit further from the city? If so, then the Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms location may be an optimal location for your wedding!

Featuring beautiful gardens, unique artwork, a creek and mountain views, Chatfield Farms is sure to impress even the most discerning bride and groom. In addition, they also offer a variety of venue and package options as well as bridal and groom suites. (Spoiler alert – one of the grooms’ suites is a yurt! How cool!) Finally, all bookings also include free guest parking, privacy for your event, and an on-site coordinator (definitely a must have for your big event!)

Chatfield Farms Ceremony and Reception Options

  • Green Farm Barn: A classic big red barn with an outdoor patio, cafe lighting, and a private outdoor grassy area.
    • Indoor Seated Ceremony or Reception: 140 guests
    • Outdoor Seating: 500+ guests
  • Deer Creek Stables: A beautiful white barn with the option of being enclosed or open air, additional tenting is also permitted.
    • Indoor Seated Ceremony or Reception: 225 guests
    • Outdoor Seating: 1000+ guests
  • Prairie Garden Terrace: A large wooden terrace that features an impressive cottonwood tree. Furthermore, the tree is decked out in white twinkle lights (how magical!)
  • Deer Creek Schoolhouse: One room, intimate schoolhouse style building – great for bridal showers or rehearsal dinners. In addition, from memorial day thru labor day the schoolhouse can be used as a bridal suite.
  • Polly Steele Center: A quaint farmhouse with a wrap around porch. However, with an indoor capacity of 20, it is most often used as a bridal suite.
  • Open Air Chapel: A beautiful outdoor area featuring natural florals, trees, and mountain views. It also includes 4 tables and 100 chairs, perfect for ceremonies. Available for rental April thru May.

The Chatfield Farms location also offers a variety of wedding packages. With this option, you can choose which ceremony and reception locations best suit your vision. Furthermore, several packages also include furnishings, such as chairs, banquet and round tables.
